Summary: Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process, including complete documentation of results.  Compiles and evaluates data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties. Must maintain highest standards in regards to quality.

I.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts in-process inspections throughout the production process, including complete documentation of results.
  • Records test data and results in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures.
  • Reports any defects or variances from customer specifications or Quality Assurance procedures to Quality Assurance Management.
  • Institutes all necessary precautions to assure that defective products are not shipped to customers.
  • Assists Quality Management in educating production supervisors, and production employees regarding quality procedures.
  • Provides back up to the QA Manager when required.
  • Assist QA Manager as needed with document development, editing and approving.
  • Assist QA Manager as needed with internal or 3rd party certification audits.
  • Assist as needed with special projects as assigned by QA Manager such as data gathering, analysis and report writing/summary.
  • May be called upon to conduct vendor certification audits.
  • Responsible for following all company policies and procedures
  • Successfully completes & maintains certification for all required training for position, including but not limited to:  Strategies for Crisis Intervention & Prevention (SCIP), CPR, First-Aid and GMP. Must work all shifts and all hours as scheduled.  Must report to work on time and as scheduled.


  • Encourage and maintain a positive working relationship with all departments in the agency, families and advocates, individuals supported, staff and board members, and community partners.
  • Communicate all health, safety, client care and/or program concerns, sensitive situations and incidents to supervisor
  • Attend, facilitate and participate in all required and/or requested departmental or agency meetings


  • Complete required documentation in conformance with rules, regulations, policies and procedures and billing practices


  • Identify and report any untoward incidents and conduct investigations related to allegations of abuse or breach of corporate compliance standards.
  • Identify, report and/or correct all safety hazards including physical plant problems and/or problem work practices and assist with investigating all work-related accidents as requested
  • Fully participate in all required activities and administrative duties relating to investigations, incidents and accidents in assigned program areas and other areas as requested
  • Ensure self and assigned program compliance with all State and Federal regulations along with agency policies and practices


  • Attend all required training, staff development programs and committees and/or staff meetings as required by the agency and/or State and Federal regulations


  • Possess good interpersonal, written, oral, and communication abilities and effective time management/organizational skills
  • Able to work scheduled hours that may include overtime, weekend and/or holiday timeframes and maintain an acceptable work attendance as defined in the agency’s personnel policy manual and handbook.
  • Be computer literate with knowledge in agency operating systems and applicable software required for department needs.
  • Able to generate and present comprehensive written reports and respond to questions about the report
  • Demonstrate sound judgment in normal work and emergency situations
  • Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports regarding quality procedures, which includes good spelling and grammar skills.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability statistical inference, and fundamentals of algebra and geometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability and prior experience in using inspection tools, including but not limited to: micrometers, calipers, etc.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to visit various production floor areas at any and/or all locations and then to inspect and/or otherwise review work in progress.
  • Must physically be able to perform required certifications and lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Possess a valid driver’s license acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier (Or as deemed appropriate by leadership)


Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school


2 years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
